An experienced award-winning data science practitioner that has spent his career re-engineering businesses to be data-science-led, or Data-first at an operational level, which creates tremendous value for partners and shareholders.

 

Prior to MRH, he built and ran a global data practice for a multi-billion dollar family office and throughout the course of his career developed many first of a kind solutions as a pioneering data scientist. He coined the term 'data engineering' in 2010 representing a resampling technique for constructing an artificial data set with specific statistical properties and introduced many first-of-a-kind innovative solutions with practical applications in industry. MRH is a vehicle for investing his own capital into interesting ideas.

Dr. Upadrashta received his PhD in Computational Neuroscience (University of Minnesota, 2004), and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering & Materials Science (University of Minnesota, 1998).
