Dr. Upadrashta is an award-winning operator and data science pioneer whose Data-first operational model has driven substantial value creation for partners and shareholders.

​

Before founding MRH, he built and led the global data practice for a multi-billion-dollar, multi-vertical private investment platform, architecting a Data-first enterprise data mesh across geographies and regulatory regimes in highly regulated industries. In 2010, he introduced the term “data engineering" and developed a revenue management system that generated over $1B in EBIT impact.

MRH is his permanent capital vehicle for investing personal capital into high-conviction, thesis-driven opportunities.

His experience spans private equity, fintech, real estate, insurance, litigation finance, banking, aviation, energy and utilities, automation, industrials, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, e-commerce, travel and hospitality, sports, media, and entertainment.

Dr. Upadrashta holds a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience (University of Minnesota, 2004) and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (University of Minnesota, 1998).
